Halloween no longer has to end when October does in Las Vegas. At Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, the season’s darker side has become a year-round experience, and this autumn the resort is pairing its unusual Halloween Suite with Universal Horror Unleashed for an overnight escape designed for travellers who prefer their Las Vegas getaway with a little more fright.
The collaboration marks the first anniversary of Universal Horror Unleashed, Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first year-round horror entertainment experience, located at AREA15. To celebrate, Westgate has introduced two limited hotel packages combining a two-night stay in its 1,160-square-foot Halloween Suite with admission to the attraction.
The result is a very different take on the traditional Las Vegas hotel stay. Rather than dressing up a room for Halloween for a few weeks each year, Westgate has created a permanent themed suite where the experience continues long after guests leave the city’s attractions.
The Halloween Suite is designed as an immersive overnight retreat, with themed décor throughout a spacious king bedroom, wet bar, kitchen and two private bathrooms. At more than 1,160 square feet, it has the scale of a full residence rather than a conventional themed hotel room, making it possible to settle into the experience for an entire stay.
For guests looking to take the concept further, the Halloween Suite Ultra Spooky Hotel Package adds two tickets to Universal Horror Unleashed, round-trip transportation between Westgate and AREA15, a specialty spooky cocktail at Velvet Bar, an exclusive Halloween prize pack and seasonal surprises.
There is also a simpler Halloween Suite & Ticket Package, which combines the two-night suite stay with two tickets to Universal Horror Unleashed for guests who want the attraction and accommodation without the additional extras.
Universal Horror Unleashed itself provides the centrepiece for the experience away from the hotel. Located at AREA15, the year-round attraction brings together immersive horror environments and entertainment, giving guests an evening of scares before returning to Westgate for a more private continuation of the theme.
That contrast is part of what makes the package particularly suited to Las Vegas. The city has long built its identity around experiences that go beyond the conventional hotel stay, and Westgate’s Halloween Suite takes that approach into a more playful, cinematic direction.
The suite is also notable for being available throughout the year. Instead of functioning as a seasonal pop-up, it gives horror enthusiasts an opportunity to plan a themed stay whenever they happen to be in Las Vegas, whether for Halloween itself or simply because they want something different from the city’s usual luxury towers and resort rooms.
Westgate’s location adds another practical advantage. The resort sits just minutes from AREA15 as well as the Las Vegas Strip, allowing guests to combine the horror experience with the city’s broader collection of dining, entertainment and nightlife.
For those who want to make the stay particularly immersive, the Ultra Spooky package effectively creates a full evening-to-morning itinerary: begin with Las Vegas, head to AREA15 for Universal Horror Unleashed, return to the resort for a themed cocktail and retreat into a suite where the Halloween atmosphere continues.
It is a distinctly Las Vegas approach to the Halloween getaway – bigger, more theatrical and designed to turn a familiar holiday into an experience that can be enjoyed all year.
For horror fans, the appeal is simple: the scare does not have to end when the attraction closes.
