Rosewood Hong Kong has once again taken the top spot in global luxury hospitality, named the World’s Best Hotel 2026 by The World’s 50 Best Hotels for the second consecutive year.

Revealed at the awards ceremony in Paris, the recognition marks another significant milestone for the Hong Kong property, which first entered the list at No. 3 in 2024 before rising to No. 1 in 2025. Its latest victory also sees Rosewood Hong Kong recognised as The Best Hotel in Asia, reinforcing the property’s position among the region’s most influential luxury addresses.

Since opening in 2019, Rosewood Hong Kong has established itself as a defining part of the city’s Victoria Harbour skyline. Occupying 65 floors of the Victoria Dockside development in Kowloon, the hotel brings together contemporary design, residential-style interiors and views across one of Hong Kong’s most recognisable waterfronts.

The property features 413 rooms and suites, many designed to evoke the feeling of an elegant Hong Kong residence rather than a conventional hotel room. Interior designer Tony Chi drew on the city’s heritage and the Rosewood aesthetic to create spaces that combine rich materials, artwork and contemporary details, with the harbour providing a dramatic backdrop.

Food and drink are equally central to the Rosewood Hong Kong experience. The hotel is home to eleven restaurants and bars, creating a culinary collection that ranges from Cantonese dining to Japanese cuisine, modern European influences and more intimate cocktail and lounge experiences.

Among its signature destinations is Holt’s Café, which takes inspiration from the classic European café while incorporating Hong Kong character, while Chaat explores contemporary Indian cuisine from its setting high above the harbour. The property’s culinary offering has become an important part of its identity, giving both hotel guests and local diners reasons to return.

Wellness is another defining element. Asaya, Rosewood’s holistic wellness concept, occupies multiple levels of the property and combines treatments, fitness and relaxation with panoramic views over Victoria Harbour. Its infinity pool creates one of the hotel’s most striking spaces, while private Asaya Lodges offer a more secluded environment for extended wellness experiences.

The hotel also extends its residential approach into its larger accommodations. The Manor House and Rosewood’s suites are designed to feel more like private residences, with generous living spaces, curated interiors and personalised service that reflects the brand’s emphasis on a sense of home.

That balance between Hong Kong’s energy and the privacy of a residential retreat is central to Rosewood’s identity. The hotel places guests directly within one of the world’s most dynamic cities while creating a sense of separation once they step inside.

Its second consecutive No. 1 ranking comes during another strong year for Asian luxury hospitality. Asia accounts for 18 properties in the 2026 list, while Europe leads the overall regional representation with 21 hotels. Bangkok takes the No. 2 and No. 3 positions through Capella Bangkok and Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, further highlighting the strength of the region.

But this year’s story ultimately comes back to Hong Kong.

Rosewood Hong Kong’s continued presence at the very top of The World’s 50 Best Hotels reflects the enduring appeal of a property that has managed to combine the character of its city with the intimacy, design and service expected from a modern luxury hotel.

For the second year running, the world’s attention is firmly on Victoria Harbour and on a Rosewood address that continues to set its own standard for contemporary Hong Kong hospitality.
