Set in the heart of the North Malé Atoll, Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives is introducing a month-long programme of immersive, moon-inspired experiences this May 2026, inviting travellers to explore the Maldives through a new lens of rhythm, reflection, and connection.
Titled “Moon Over Kodhipparu,” the curated series aligns with key lunar phases, transforming the natural cycles of the moon into a sequence of experiential moments designed to deepen guests’ connection to both the island and themselves.
The programme begins with the Flower Full Moon, setting a tone of renewal and gentle energy. Guests can expect guided sound healing sessions, sunset cruises that evolve into moonlit lagoon journeys, and oceanfront dining experiences under the glow of the rising moon.
Mid-month, the Super New Moon introduces a quieter, more introspective chapter. With darker skies and a slower pace, the resort offers beachside wellness rituals, stargazing cruises, and night fishing excursions that reflect the calm rhythm of the ocean.
The experience culminates on 31 May with the rare Blue Moon, marking a celebratory finale. Couples’ spa rituals, intimate lagoon cruises, and signature dining experiences are designed to embrace the occasion, all set against a luminous moonlit backdrop.
While anchored in celestial events, the programme extends beyond specific dates. Throughout May, guests can unwind in private beach lounge setups illuminated by lantern light or explore a curated menu of botanical cocktails inspired by the changing tones of the night sky.
For special occasions, the resort offers bespoke experiences, including private dining and proposal arrangements under the stars. A dedicated Mother’s Day concept also allows guests to pre-arrange personalised surprises for travelling parents, adding a thoughtful touch to the stay.
“Moon Over Kodhipparu” reflects a broader shift in luxury travel, where experience-led journeys are taking precedence over traditional resort stays. At Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives, this is expressed through the seamless integration of wellness, gastronomy, and ocean-based activities into a cohesive narrative that evolves throughout the month.
To complement the programme, the resort is offering a “Night on Us” package, available for bookings made until 30 April 2026. Guests booking a six-night stay will receive two complimentary nights, providing more time to experience multiple lunar phases and engage fully with the island’s programming. The offer is valid for stays through 31 October 2026, encouraging a slower, more intentional travel pace aligned with current traveller preferences.
With this latest initiative, the boutique island resort further strengthens its reputation for delivering immersive, design-led stays that connect guests with nature, time, and place.
