Bali’s legendary Kuta Beach is set to enter a new era with the arrival of Zumana, a beachfront lifestyle destination scheduled to open in 2026. Developed by Savaya Group in partnership with Indonesian hospitality developer PT Kharisma Anugrah Jawara Abadi (KAJA Group), the project signals a renewed vision for one of the island’s most iconic coastlines.

Long synonymous with Bali’s rise as a global tourism hotspot, Kuta Beach is being reimagined through Zumana as a contemporary gathering place that blends music, architecture, dining, and social ritual into a single immersive experience. The destination is designed to evolve throughout the day, shifting naturally from relaxed, sun-led afternoons into elevated dining and nightlife as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean.

At the heart of the project is a 35,000-square-foot beachfront venue, designed by the internationally acclaimed Rockwell Group. The space will feature a vibrant daylife environment alongside a 200-seat restaurant, encouraging guests to move seamlessly between experiences without leaving the shoreline.

Zumana is described as a living environment that reflects modern society, where self-expression, collective energy, and cultural exchange are central to the experience. Rather than positioning guests as passive observers, the destination aims to blur the boundaries between participation and performance, framed by Bali’s iconic sunset backdrop.

According to Alex Cordova, CEO of Savaya Group, the project reflects the group’s long-term belief in Bali’s global relevance:

“Building on the global success of Savaya, this project underscores our long-term commitment to Bali as a destination with both a distinct identity and global relevance. We are focused on developing concepts that originate here, resonate internationally, and contribute meaningfully to the island’s enduring appeal.”

From a local development perspective, Nadia Tjahyadikarta, Managing Director of KAJA Group, emphasized the importance of originality and regional impact:

“As an Indonesian-founded group, we continue to grow our portfolio through a balance of global partnerships and original concepts. This project represents the latter, a destination conceived from the ground up to express a distinct point of view and set a new benchmark for Indonesia and Southeast Asia.”

With its 2026 opening planned for Kuta Beach, Zumana is expected to play a key role in shaping Bali’s next chapter as a global destination for lifestyle, culture, and hospitality while reconnecting one of its most famous beaches with a new generation of travelers.
