Qatar Airways has partnered with acclaimed Filipino chef Jordy Navarra and his wife, restaurateur May Navarra, to introduce an exclusive Business Class dining experience inspired by modern Filipino cuisine. The new menu will debut on flights from Manila to Doha starting 2 February, with plans to roll out on Doha–Manila routes from July 2026.
Chef Jordy Navarra is the chef-owner of Toyo Eatery, Manila’s Michelin One-Star restaurant, celebrated for its thoughtful, ingredient-driven approach to Filipino cuisine. For Qatar Airways, Chef Navarra has curated a five-course Business Class menu that reinterprets traditional Filipino flavors through a refined, contemporary lens bringing restaurant-level storytelling to the skies.

Passengers can expect a carefully balanced progression of dishes, beginning with seared chilled scallops accented by mustard leaf, shrimp buro, radish, and salted egg. The main course features braised beef short ribs tiyula itum, a deeply flavorful Filipino dish complemented by charred coconut, eggplant, and heirloom Tinawon rice. Lighter fare includes a refreshing pansit noodle ensalada with chayote and pomelo, while breakfast service offers a comforting purée of arroz caldo with chicken, anchovy, and egg.
Dessert highlights the Filipino classic sans rival cake, elevated with a Philippine chocolate sorbet, an elegant conclusion that underscores the menu’s balance of tradition and innovation.
In keeping with Qatar Airways’ commitment to sustainability and quality, ingredients are thoughtfully sourced from local suppliers, with an emphasis on seasonality and responsible practices to showcase the best of Filipino produce.
The collaboration further strengthens Qatar Airways’ reputation for delivering world-class onboard experiences through partnerships with globally respected chefs. In 2024, the airline was named ‘World’s Best Business Class’ for the 11th time and ‘World’s Best Airline’ for a record-breaking eighth time. Qatar Airways also holds titles for ‘World’s Best Business Class Lounge’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’.
