Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has a new reason to slow down between the beach, pool and spa. Pantry Maui, a new all-day café created with Los Angeles lifestyle brand Madhappy, has opened at the resort, bringing specialty coffee and matcha, island-inspired bites and a selection of exclusive goods to one of Maui’s most polished addresses.

The opening is notable beyond the café itself. Pantry Maui is Madhappy’s first standalone hospitality destination and its first outpost in Hawaiʻi, giving the fashion and lifestyle brand an opportunity to translate its community-driven concept into a resort setting. Rather than functioning simply as another place to grab breakfast, the café has been designed as a casual meeting point where food, design, retail and the relaxed pace of Maui come together.

Much of the menu was created specifically for the island. Four Seasons Resort Maui Executive Chef Ryan Schelling and Executive Sous Chef AJ Thalakkat worked with the Pantry team to develop dishes and drinks that draw on local flavours and ingredients, resulting in a menu that feels more connected to its surroundings than a standard hotel café offering.

The drinks are a natural place to start. Pantry Maui introduces the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha Latte and Banana Coconut Latte exclusively for the resort, alongside Pantry’s signature sweet-cloud matcha and latte creations. Coffee comes from Los Angeles roastery Loquat, which created a signature blend specifically for Pantry, while ceremonial-grade matcha is sourced from Nekohama, a Japanese-founded brand known for its traditional approach to matcha craftsmanship.

The food takes a similarly playful approach to familiar café favourites. The Poi Coconut Crown combines flaky pastry with poi and coconut, while The South Side Acai Bowl layers li-hing mui, pineapple, lychee, strawberry and haupia with toasted coconut, macadamia nut crumble, lilikoi sauce and honey. Across the all-day menu, ingredients including mango, coconut and lilikoi bring a distinctly Hawaiian character to pastries, sandwiches, salads, wraps, smoothies, açaí bowls, gelato and sundaes.

For guests who would rather keep moving, Pantry Maui also offers cold-pressed juices and tonics from Maui Juice Co., making it easy to pick up something for a morning at the pool or an afternoon exploring Wailea. Chocolate made with Hawaiʻi-grown cacao from Lonohana Estate Chocolate adds another local touch to the selection.

That connection between lifestyle and hospitality extends into Pantry Maui’s retail offering. Guests can browse apparel, accessories, drinkware, specialty packaged goods and products created exclusively for the resort, giving the café an identity that reaches beyond its food and beverage menu. It is a particularly natural fit for Madhappy, whose brand has long occupied the space between fashion, community and lifestyle.

For Four Seasons Maui, Pantry arrives as part of a much larger evolution of the resort. The property is currently undergoing a comprehensive transformation that has already introduced a reimagined Club Floor in May and the new Kai Holo Spa in July. New pool cabanas, immersive cultural spaces and expanded wellness offerings are also part of the wider programme, while refreshed guest rooms and suites are scheduled to debut in the fourth quarter of 2026.

“Exceptional culinary offerings have always been central to the Four Seasons Resort Maui experience,” said Konrad Gstrein, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea. “Pantry enhances our existing collection of dining experiences with distinctive beverages, exclusive menu offerings, and an elevated all-day grab-and-go concept that seamlessly fits into a guest’s stay.”

That may ultimately be Pantry Maui’s greatest appeal. It doesn’t ask guests to dress up for another formal dining experience or carve out a lengthy reservation from their day. Instead, it fits naturally into the rhythm of a Maui holiday: coffee before the beach, matcha after a morning swim, a fresh bowl between activities or gelato as the afternoon gives way to sunset.

Pantry Maui is open daily from 6am to 6pm and welcomes both Four Seasons Resort Maui guests and local visitors. With its first Hawaiʻi location, Madhappy has found an especially fitting setting for its café concept – one where the boundaries between resort living, local flavour and contemporary lifestyle feel almost effortless.
