Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has officially arrived in Thailand with the opening of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, marking the luxury brand’s first hotel in the country. Developed in partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) and part of Accor, the new 474-key property brings Fairmont’s signature approach to culture, connection and celebration to one of Bangkok’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.

Located in Sukhumvit, the hotel features 416 guestrooms and 58 suites, alongside an extensive collection of restaurants, bars, wellness facilities and event spaces. Its design takes inspiration from Thailand’s botanical heritage, creating what Fairmont describes as a “blooming stage” for celebration.

Thai design practice PIA has woven floral influences throughout the property, from guestrooms and public areas to one of its most striking features: a dramatic lobby chandelier inspired by Thailand’s national flower, the golden ratchaphruek. Made from 4,166 glass pieces and more than 35,000 crystal balls, the installation provides a memorable introduction to the hotel’s contemporary interpretation of Thai identity.

“Thailand’s gracious hospitality, rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted appreciation for connection make it a natural home for Fairmont,” said Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. “More than just a hotel, this magnificent social epicenter enables locals and global travelers to unite and celebrate, connect, and immerse themselves in the spirit of this vivid city.”

Dining is central to the new Fairmont experience, with seven venues scheduled to open throughout 2026. Harper’s brings together North American and French brasserie influences, while AELA Social Bar transitions from a refined daytime lounge into a cocktail destination after dark. At CAYA Pool Club, Thai street-food flavours are reinterpreted through contemporary dishes and creative cocktails inspired by Bangkok’s famous night markets.

The culinary offering will expand further in December with two rooftop concepts across levels 32 and 33, including a restaurant combining Italian and Japanese influences and another focused on contemporary Thai cuisine, both accompanied by expansive views across the Bangkok skyline.

For evening entertainment, Wiggle Room is set to open in mid-September 2026 beneath the hotel, with a private entrance on Sukhumvit Soi 18. The supper club will blend classic cabaret glamour with live music, performances, cocktails and cuisine in an immersive theatrical setting.

Wellness is equally central to the property, following Fairmont’s Wellness Without Walls philosophy. Fairmont Spa draws inspiration from jasmine, a symbol of Thai hospitality and purity, while Fairmont Studio offers facilities for yoga, cardio and strength training. Fairmont Fit extends the experience through programmes and practical touches designed to help guests maintain their personal wellness routines while travelling.

Beyond leisure, the hotel has positioned itself as a major new events destination, offering more than 21,500 square feet (2,000 square metres) of event space across three floors. The facilities include the Signature Grand Ballroom, with its 12-metre ceiling and dedicated arrival forecourt, alongside a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms, Couture Hall and additional flexible spaces for conferences, weddings and private celebrations.

Families are also catered to with dedicated accommodation and a Kids Club, while guests travelling with pets weighing up to 30 kilograms can take advantage of pet-friendly amenities. Fairmont Gold provides another level of privacy and personalised service through a dedicated reception, exclusive lounge, curated food and beverage offerings and concierge service.

Sustainability has also been integrated into the property, which has been designed to LEED Gold standards. Biophilic design, water recycling, smart energy systems, enhanced indoor air quality, EV charging and a heat-reduction façade form part of the hotel’s approach to responsible development.

With its combination of contemporary Thai-inspired design, destination dining, wellness and sophisticated event spaces, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit marks a significant new arrival for Bangkok’s luxury hospitality scene and the beginning of Fairmont’s presence in Thailand.
