The Cruise Division of MSC Group has announced Sandy Cay, a new luxury private island retreat set to open in 2028 alongside its existing Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in The Bahamas. The development will serve guests of both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, marking the next phase in the company’s push to create more immersive, high-end destination experiences.
Positioned as a quieter, more intimate counterpart to Ocean Cay, Sandy Cay is being designed to offer a secluded escape rooted in the natural beauty and cultural spirit of The Bahamas. Unlike the more expansive Ocean Cay, Sandy Cay will focus on exclusivity and tranquility.
