Casio India has introduced Vintage Verse in Mumbai, an immersive brand showcase that reinterprets the legacy of its globally recognised Casio Vintage collection through a contemporary cultural lens. Developed by its parent company, Casio Computer Co. Ltd., the experience reflects the brand’s evolving design philosophy, Future Classics, which celebrates timeless aesthetics shaped by modern expression.
At its core, Vintage Verse is built on the idea that truly iconic design does not fade – it deepens in meaning over time. Through the Future Classics philosophy, Casio positions its Vintage range not as a relic of nostalgia, but as a living design language that continues to evolve with each generation. The concept underscores a balance between heritage and innovation, where enduring design remains relevant by being continuously reinterpreted by its wearers.
The Mumbai showcase was conceived as a multi-sensory journey, unfolding across three distinct immersive environments. Each space translated the brand’s evolution into a visual and experiential narrative.
The Retro Futuristic zone drew inspiration from 1980s science fiction, featuring dome-like structures and metallic, abstract furniture to create a bold, utopian setting. In contrast, Retro Modern presented a reimagined living room where nostalgic design elements such as dotted flooring and vintage wall décor were paired with contemporary styling. Completing the experience, Retro Classic offered a refined study space, evoking timeless elegance with a sense of regal vintage charm. Together, these environments created layered storytelling moments, allowing guests to engage with the collection through interactive installations.
Speaking at the event, Takuto Kimura, Managing Director of Casio India, highlighted the cultural significance of the brand’s Vintage line. He noted that the collection has grown beyond its functional roots to become a symbol of self-expression, driven by creatives and individuals who continue to reinterpret its design language.
The evening opened with curated media interactions and guided walkthroughs of the immersive spaces, followed by a brand address from Kimura reflecting on Casio’s journey in India and the continued evolution of its Vintage portfolio. The showcase concluded with a live vinyl session, bringing together music, culture, and community in line with the brand’s ethos.
With Vintage Verse, Casio India reinforces its commitment to creativity and cultural relevance, illustrating how its Vintage collection has transitioned from a utilitarian timepiece into a global style icon, one that continues to evolve alongside shifting expressions of identity.
